Coming soon – ships August 2026! Texas: Card Games Inspired by the Lone Star State is a fully illustrated book of six modern games for fans of card games, board games, and the Lone Star State.

All you need is a deck of cards and a few tokens to race across Texas as a roadrunner, scurry for grub as an armadillo, and gaze upon the big and bright stars of the night sky.

Created by high-school sweethearts from San Antonio, this book of six original card games is inspired by the natural beauty and warmth of The Lone Star State. The book offers a variety of experience for gamers and novices alike, but all of the games are intended to be approachable. Here is an overview:

Written by Thomas and Kelly Cardwell. The illustrations are by Texan illustrator Nathan Brown.
